A few weeks ago I joined forces with the elusive photographer Anthony Gould Davies from The Fabulous Photography group, and a whole team of wedding industry professionals to create something truly magical.
Lau from French Made, and Sarah from Chateau Macaron slaved in their kitchens to create the cutest french-style patisseries in the most beautiful colours, along with delicious floral selections of Roses and Carnations from The Vintage Floral Design Co. to bring everything together.
My favourite floral piece was the preserved flower crown, so it can be treasured and kept forever!!
Our real scoop was that we were first to get our hands on the latest collection from Sarah at Rose and Aster, who allowed us to showcase her latest pieces! The Pink opal pieces are just to die for!!
We also had treats from my favourite hair accessories girl, What Katy Did Next! Which just looked so fabulous with my dresses!
The inspiration behind the shoot was to create chic Parisian dessert table ideas. In my humble opinion, the key to making an impressive looking spread is . . . more is more! Styling so overwhelmingly delicious, people don't know where to begin! Strawberry Tartlettes, Hand-dusted Macarons towers, and gourmet Ispahans, Hand-piped rose icing, Sugar paste cameos, and Religieuse Profiteroles with beautiful pastel icings in lilac, greens and corals . . . But, it doesn't have to be all cake. The space has to be visually amazing, lots of different things to look at, so we mixed up lots of different beautiful items to entertain the eye . . . pretty stationery, crockery of all sorts, miniture floral arrangements, beautiful fabrics and jewels, buttons and even shoes, stacked it all high, et voila!
This was the first time I have been involved with a behind the scenes video while on a shoot, and I have to admit, I loved it!
It is quite a long video at 12 minutes, but please watch to end for the out-takes.
More photos from the shoot will be online soon....
